Six Weeks: Please Help
Friends,
Last week, Steven was rushed into emergency abdominal surgery for a rare internal hernia. It was sudden and serious. We are incredibly grateful the doctors caught it in time and that he is now home recovering.
He will be out of work for at least six weeks.
Steven is our main breadwinner. He is also my primary support at home. Because I’m autistic, I’m only able to take on short-term contract work, which means our financial stability depends largely on his income. With him unable to work, we’re facing medical bills on top of rent, utilities, groceries, and follow-up care.
This isn’t easy to share. Steven is the person who shows up for everyone else. He never misses work. He helps family and friends without hesitation. Now he needs time to heal, and we need help carrying the gap his absence from work creates.
I’m raising funds to cover his medical expenses and our essential living costs while he recovers. If you’re able to give, it would mean more than I can say. If not, sharing this or keeping Steven in your thoughts helps too.
We’re thankful he’s here. Now we just need a little help getting through these next six weeks.
Below is the link for the GoFundMe but you can also support us by buying a subscription to either of my Substack publications.
Thank you for your ongoing support. It truly means everything to me.
